Responsibility

  • ensure that staff work in accordance with the Statement of Purpose and Function of each of the houses
  • understand and advise Registered Managers on updates and continuously seek to improve relevant company practice standards
  • assist with the strategic planning for developments within the home and all day to day management matters
  • attend all house meetings for each allocated house to gage and support team dynamics
  • mentor Registered Managers, and assist with supervisions and appraisals
  • attend Ofsted inspections and LA visits for allocated houses and support the Manager as necessary throughout the process
  • ensure Managers undertake recommendations of Ofsted Inspections Reports promptly
  • ensure that Managers/Deputy Managers notify Social Workers of all incidents and physical interventions within 24 hours

Requirements

  • you must hold the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care / Children and Young People
  • significant experience within leadership roles
  • at least 3 years work experience within Social Care Management
  • proven people management skills within a residential setting, including motivating, directing, delegating
  • proven organisational and financial management skills
  • experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
  • substantial recent experience of business partnership, relationship and facilitation management skills gained in a similar role

  • ensure that young people facing particular crises and stresses are offered appropriate additional support as necessary
