  • as the School’s Receptionist you will represent the School in a friendly and professional manner along with creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all staff, students and external visitors
  • the postholder must be able to work some flexible hours to facilitate busy performance periods at the School’s Riley Theatre and assist with box office ticketing

  • northern School of Contemporary Dance is an international centre of excellence in Leeds offering specialist, conservatoire-level dance education in an intimate and bespoke setting
  • write briefs for design, artwork and photography & video and liaise with freelancers, writing scripts where required
  • coordinate distribution of print materials including posters, flyers and prospectus
  • monitor and respond to enquiries through social media
  • in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications Manager, devise and implement high quality communications plans across available channels that raise the profile and maintain the reputation of NSCD, using agreed key messages
  • build effective webpages and webforms using Wordpress that ensure high quality user experience and appropriate data collection

Requirements

  • proven experience as a Dance Instructor or similar role
  • proficiency in multiple dance styles with a focus on technique and artistry
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and parents
  • ability to motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential
  • qualifications in dance education or relevant certifications are desirable, ideally RAD and ISTD
