Responsibility

  • provide high-standard clinical care to surgical inpatients and outpatients
  • support the Consultant team in operating theatres, ward rounds, and clinics
  • participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and surgical audits
  • ensure accurate documentation and adherence to clinical governance
  • manage and prioritise acute cases under supervision as appropriate
  • comply with all Trust policies and procedures, including safeguarding and infection control
  • engage in teaching opportunities for junior staff or medical students, where appropriate

Requirements

  • full GMC Registration with a license to practice in the UK
  • minimum 3 years post-graduate experience, with relevant surgical exposure
  • valid ALS certification
  • general Surgery
  • additional life support qualifications are desirable
  • orthopaedic Surgery
