Responsibility

  • provide 24x7 rota based on-call support to customers as part of the field engineering team
  • the role is largely customer site based across the UK and activities are varied
  • be reactive to our internal service desk and assist them with supporting our customers both onsite and offsite
  • be responsible for your site visit reports including quality, accuracy and timeliness
  • A full clean driving license is a mandatory job requirement
  • no specific times per day apply to any particular activity as these are all task-specific and most are reactive/intervention in nature
  • working with the service desk manager, keep relevant technical and industry certifications up to date
  • cisco CCNA would be considered advantageous for a candidate

Requirements

  • microsoft MCSE
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • candidate must have a valid passport and UK permitted driving license
  • strong network troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • A candidate should have at least two years’ experience
  • candidate must pass local background and security checks
  • working with Cisco switches and routers, in terms of configuring and troubleshooting
  • strong customer facing skills
