- enter new patient information from questionnaire using the Nexus template within the clinical system
- process administrative queries and request from clinicians and patients
- liaise with hospitals as required in regard to discharge, results, clinic letters etc
- process blood and organ donor information currently via Open Exeter
- prepare manual records for retention by the practice
- arrange follow up contact as required adhering to practice policies
- prepare manual records for return to primary care support service
- to ensure that the flow of documents and results coming in and out of Nexus is maintained to the required standard
- participate in Nexus Appraisal process to identify and discuss professional needs
- alert other team members to issues that affect quality and risk
- to provide cover in the absence of other members of staff including reception
- be responsible for the processing of all tasks within the GP Link in a timely manner and in line with the Nexus policies
- undertake other administrative tasks within the role if required
- alert the Team Supervisor of any safeguarding issues
- give patients and clinicians information as required by practice protocol
- ensure manual records are kept neat and tidy and in good repair
- update clinical records wherever necessary and in accordance with practice guidelines
- assist in producing information for clinical audit as required
- work closely with the IT team to ensure all systems are operational
- ensure accurate read codes are used when entering data into the patients electronic records held within the Nexus clinical system
- LOCATION Decima Street Surgery, but the post holder may be required to work at any of Nexus locations
