  • we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced sponsorship development professional to join us and help to drive sponsorship revenue for the insurance events division
  • the Intelligent Insurer events department at Newton Media is expanding aggressively after a hugely successful 18 months providing virtual events and webinars
  • we are looking for an ambitious, self-starting, highly motivated and experienced sponsorship and exhibition sales professional to help us drive this momentum into the return of live events

  • we serve those at the forefront of ‘Insurance Transformation’ with events covering claims, underwriting, commercial lines and more. Delivering targeted, senior level, live, hybrid & virtual events across Europe and the US

Requirements

  • A knowledge of the insurance, reinsurance and insurTech markets
  • degree level qualification, although not essential if you have subsequent career experience
  • experience at another B2B media company covering similar topics
  • fluent English speaker

  • achieve and exceed agreed revenue & headcount targets for each event
  • negotiate and secure multi-event participation wherever possible
  • build exceptional relationships with senior figures
  • utilise all possible channels of engagement with a high level of competency; phone, email, LinkedIn etc
  • identify and maintain a realistic pipeline of key prospects and keep detailed records on the CRM
  • work independently to research a regular stream of new business
  • work collaboratively with the producers, the SPEX team and other relevant internal departments
  • negotiate confidently with prospects to minimise discount

Requirements

  • you’ll have
  • minimum of 1 year sales experience in a B2B environment. Conference Delegate sales experience essential
  • demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding targets
  • work collaboratively in a team environment
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to thrive under pressure
  • high levels of self-motivation and comfortable working from home
  • superior attention to detail and organisation
