Responsibility
- neville Johnson, part of the BHID Group, is the UK’s leading provider of bespoke Furniture and Staircase renovations
- we are now seeking to recruit a Senior Buyer to join our Purchasing department
- the ability to read and understand technical drawings would be advantageous
- with over 30 years’ experience, we’ve established a solid reputation for delivering the top quality products and service that our discerning clients demand
- the ideal candidate will have gained experience in the building industry and / or furniture manufacturing as he/she will be responsible for all technical aspects of traditional solid wooden door purchasing including hardware, glass and paints, as well as ordering stock raw materials for furniture and staircase parts
- working in a fast-paced environment the successful applicant must work well under pressure, be extremely well organised and methodical, ordering in a timely manner ensuring the production department have the correct parts on time, to the correct specification and quality at the most competitive price from reliable suppliers
- effective, proactive liaison with other departments relating to operating, forecasting and services as necessary, e.g. IT department
- ensuring all computer records are accurate and up to date
