Responsibility
maintain authoritative knowledge of current EU and UK data regulation and best practice data integrity and security practices
provide compliance assurance to the business
provide capacity building and training to the business in respect of compliance related matters
responsible for reviewing and updating of policies e.g. modern slavery, anti-bribery and corruption etc
act as the company subject matter expert and focal point for compliance and data protection related matters , providing day-to-day support to the business
review and preparation of basic legal agreements – such as NDA’s and T&C’s from subscriptions or suppliers
collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to analyse emerging and developing regulation in order to support the business to assess and understand their impacts and to plan and implement required changes in a timely manner to remain compliant
lead on due diligence activities for the Namene Group – supply chain, commercial contracts

actively work with our existing country teams to move from carbon subsidized product sales to sales of new and different products that are not subsidized by carbon finance

establish a broad network and build good rapport with new and existing carbon, product or distribution partners
skills and Experience
in collaboration with the climate team and the business development team, to actively identify potential markets and partners, assessing the feasibility for implementing carbon projects for clean energy products
leading the formulation of market entry strategies in new countries and territories to ensure successful carbon certification, licencing to import products and to operate in the country
growing and managing a pipeline of potential projects and new territories for carbon and climate finance projects, from background research, field visits, piloting, country set up to inception of new carbon projects ready for implementation in the target countries
experience in developing efficient cookstove carbon projects a strong advantage
A strong network of clean energy products, project developers and local partners in Sub-Saharan Africa is required
