- investigating current and future backup and data storage technologies in order to be able to drive future product and market direction
- specifying future disk based backup appliance products or technology streams
- developing test strategies for products in development
- preparing QA/test environments, running tests, collating/analysing results and drawing engineering conclusions
- providing additional system engineering bandwidth to support technical developments on the proposed D2D roadmap
- working with divisions within HP and third party companies to obtain technologies and develop new products
- producing whitepapers and other collateral for pre-sales and marketing teams on new products
- providing escalation support for complex customer and internal issues relating to disk based backup products and supporting the Data Unavailable / Data Lost process
Requirements
- masters or Bachelors degree in either an Electronic Engineering or Computer Science discipline
- new or recent graduates with significant work experience and high technical knowledge will also be considered for the role
