- support the Cross Border Engagement Manager working with the Council of Bureaux and Foreign Bureaux
- last year we helped more than 42,000 people struck by uninsured and hit-and-run drivers and paid over £400 million in compensation to support victims rebuild their lives
- manage the claims process from end to end, treating customers fairly
- the purpose of our Claims Handler role is to progress a portfolio of Personal Injury and Property Damage claims to an effective and satisfactory conclusion for customers, in accordance with the uninsured and untraced drivers’ agreements, providing an excellent customer experience, while dealing with customers in a helpful, proactive and professional way
- we manage services for the insurance industry and government to help keep costs down for UK motorists, and we manage the Insurance Fraud Bureau, which brings together insurers, partners and law-enforcement agencies in the fight against fraud
- provide coaching and mentioning to the team to improve the technical performance
- collaborate and maintain effective working relationships with the wider team
- the role of our Cross Border Claims Handler is to handle both PI and PD claims within their financial authority and in accordance with the Internal Regulations, contributing in the exchange of information across the Green Card Bureau’s and Council of Bureaux whilst providing an excellent customer experience and acting as an escalation point for Claims Technical Assistants and Claims Handlers
- to ensure that all Data Protection requirements are complied with
- this is a great opportunity for someone either looking to start a career in a motor claims environment or for someone with previous property damage and/or personal injury claims handling experience to further develop their existing skills
- make timely and effective decisions on ID, liability and Quantum to ensure business targets are met
- to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and contacts
- the main purpose of this role is to support and, where appropriate, compensate victims of negligent uninsured and hit and run motor accidents in the UK, Scotland and Northern Ireland - handling your own portfolio of claims which have been presented by direct customers and/or their representatives, from submission through to settlement or closure
- analyse evidence to make informed decisions in support of lifecycles
- to manage the claims process from end to end
- plan and prioritise own workload, in line with changing requirements
- ensure that all data protection requirements are complied with
- work in conjunction with company policies and procedures

Requirements
