MODUS FURNITURE is looking for employees for positions:
- participate in the routine cleaning of the Production area and warehouse
- comply with all health and safety requirements
- develop required database content from single product structures to ‘configurator’ based information
- continuous review of products for lean production and engineering improvements to drive profitability
- developing product solutions alongside our design partners and operational team that are innovative yet appropriate to each project’s objectives
- maintain high standards of engineering drawings covering all required processes from component to GA / product assemblies
- produce and control manufacturing drawings for client orders and liaise with clients through to operations and production
- develop working prototypes for design dept, clients, sales and operations
- produce 3 and 5 axis CNC drawings/programmes for manufacture for both joinery and upholstery
- develop technical specification, SOP’s and quality standards for all products and packaging in the collection
- 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing business working in database creation, product development, product engineering or similar
- A problem solver
- experience of Winman manufacturing or a similar MRP/ERP system
- A creative thinker with the ability to spot solutions in manufacturing issues
- degree in Mechanical engineering, Product engineering or similar
- methodical and analytical
- able to cope with changing priorities and demands
- proficient in 2D and 3D CAD Skills
- minimum 5 years' experience within modern upholstery manufacture and application

- minimum 5 years' experience of upholstery pattern development & digitization
- A creative thinker with the ability to spot solutions to upholstery issues
- minimum 5 years' experience of modern manufacturing methods and Lean understanding

- cutting and Sewing: Skillfully cut and shape materials using hand and machine tools, including flat and overlock machines
- material Management: Determine the quantity and type of materials needed, setting cutting machines to the correct patterns
- quality Control: Check finished work against pattern instructions, ensuring all pieces meet our high standards
- machine Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- technical Proficiency: Work from technical drawings and adjust machine settings for different jobs
- compliance: Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and internal quality requirements, maintaining accurate and legible records

- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design/Engineering, or similar
- experience or familiarity with 2D/3D CAD tools
- an interest in manufacturing, product development, and database systems
- understanding of Lean principles and modern manufacturing techniques
- support the delivery of innovative, design-led furniture products
- assist in creating and maintaining detailed engineering and manufacturing drawings
- learn to build and manage ERP database content using Winman
- help oversee the full lifecycle of product development—from prototype to production
- generate CNC drawings and programmes for joinery and upholstery processes
- develop technical specs, SOPs, and product/packaging quality standards
- contribute to lean manufacturing improvements that boost efficiency and profitability
