service engineer
Responsibility
- to install, service, maintain and commission equipment on customers’ site
- respond flexibly and positively to ensure service work is completed effectively
- to build, service, commission and test run equipment ready for dispatch from the factory
- diagnose and rectify all faults on equipment
- ensure all equipment and consumables are booked in and out of stores correctly
- ensure all appropriate documentation is completed correctly (i.e. job cards, requisitions
- time-sheets, report sheets, BOMs etc.)
- report any defects in manufactured goods, consumables or tools so they can be rectified promptly
Requirements
- to be able to work away from the factory without supervision, either individually or as team, sometimes at short notice
- the ability to work and communicate with others
- the ability to communicate with customers in a polite and responsive manner
- to be able to work on own initiative and problem solve
- the ability to read and work from hydraulic and mechanical drawings
- A general understanding of service procedures and control measures
- A general knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical controls systems
- respond flexibly to change
