Responsibility

  • the main purpose of this role is to compose, submit and secure tenders for our existing and expanding client base
  • pricing tenders from start to contract award stage
  • producing detailed take offs from tender documents
  • assessing specifications and explore alternatives if requested
  • liaise with suppliers and negotiate where needed
  • maintain existing client and supplier relationships
  • following up submitted tenders for updates
  • pricing variations where required

  • previous experience submitting tenders to Main Contractors
  • sound numeracy skills
  • great spoken, written and oral communication

Responsibility

  • comply fully with the Business Process Management System and Quality Policy
  • ensure all resources are used efficiently on site
  • keeping site records and registers up to date
  • ensure that progress reports are completed accurately including photo graphic reports and all meetings are recorded
  • health and Safety Audits to be undertaken monthly of each site therefore a good understanding of Health and Safety is required
  • ensure the site is a safe and tidy place to work and visit
  • directly manage a labour resource to ensure all business objectives are accomplished. This will include chairing regular meetings and therefore robust people management skills required

Requirements

  • construction related qualifications/degree. i.e Construction Management or 5-10 years experience within a project management role
  • must have 10 years experience working within the construction Industry
  • valid CSCS card, ideally at management level
