Responsibility
- ensuring that all waste is disposed of safely and in line with legislation and policy and procedure
- putting away all deliveries promptly and ensuring the stockroom is clean and accessible
- preparation of food and cooking
- cooking meals to the menu requirements
- serving meals ensuring correct portion control
- serving customers in a polite and friendly manner
- ensuring all kitchen surfaces and equipment are kept clean to minimise the risk of accidents and maintain high standards of hygiene
- cleaning kitchen, it’s surrounds and equipment
Requirements
- experience of producing homemade savoury dishes and home baking
- minimum of an NVQ in cookery/hospitality would be required
- ability to work as part of a team
- ability to promote a welcoming environment to our customers
- polite and friendly
- punctual
- work well under pressure
- good understanding of food hygiene is essential
