Requirements
- qualified therapist status
- member of HPC & Member of RCSLT
- experience of working with children who are supported by Education, Health and Care Plans or Statements of SEN
- evidence of recent and relevant CPD
- experience of working with children with complex special needs including sensory impairment and challenging behavior
- evidence of ASD specific training e.g. PECS, TEACCH, SCERTS
- experience of communicating successfully with the parents of pupils who have special educational needs
- experience of supervising staff and students as well as knowledge of current legislation relating to their role
Responsibility
- our client is currently recruiting for a Locum Speech and Language therapist to be block booked at their adult service for a period of 2-3 months
- to maintain accurate and contemporaneous records following departmental procedures
