Responsibility

  • troubleshooting over the phone as well as desk side via ticketing system
  • maintenance and repair of the enterprise desktops and applications
  • provide daily direction and communication to employees, ensuring calls are answered in a timely fashion
  • help to provide employees with appropriate training and resources to perform their jobs
  • assist with special or ongoing projects that are important to areas where process improvement is needed
  • effective utilisation of the team, ensuring calls are handled efficiently and effectively
  • advise and make recommendations on possible improvements to current SOPs
  • installation of PCs and desktop applications to include upgrades as assigned/needed

Requirements

  • considerable knowledge of desktop support, PC hardware, PC office applications and PC peripherals
  • knowledge of and performance according to Standard Operating Procedures and policies
  • must have working knowledge of hardware and software platforms utilised by the organization including Windows 10 Operating Systems, imaging and remote-control software
  • good understanding of Active Directory and Azure , Basic understanding of Networking including Switches, Routers, Servers, Cables, Racks, Basic LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VoIP
