  • marina Developments Ltd is the UK’s leading Marina operator with 19 marinas within the UK situated at idyllic locations
  • we are looking to engage an Administrator on a fixed term 6 month contract to support our team at Penton Hook Marina. This role will be 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
  • typically, you will be based at Penton Hook Marina but you may also be required to work at one of our other sites within the region

Responsibility

  • to operate a strict debt control policy in accordance with company procedure and liaise frequently with the Marina Manager on outstanding accounts. To produce up to date debt information and carry out debt chasing
  • to assist the Assistant Marina Manager with the auditing of all boat measuring within the marina and to maintain up to date records in accordance with the companies measuring policy
  • to assist with the collection of all cash, daily banking, and associated records in accordance with company policy
  • to ensure payments are taking at the time of booking or invoices raised as appropriate and in accordance with the Companies strict debt policy
  • to ensure electricity invoices are raised regularly

Requirements

  • to manage the business for which you are responsible effectively, correctly and profitably
  • all laid down procedures are adhered to and assigned tasks are completed accurately and diligently at the required times

Responsibility

  • to assist with projects that identify and develop new revenue growth streams and best fit products driven by local market conditions
  • to be responsible for day-to-day operation of the Boatyard and Dry Stack Operation; to ensure the effective and efficient running of lifting operations ensuring excellence in customer service and experience at all times
  • to ensure the day-to-day operation and overall image of the Boat Yard and plant equipment reflects the Company’s position as market leader
  • to ensure that all daily, weekly and monthly checks are carried out and recorded as per company policies and procedures. Ensuring all defects are reported and resolved in a timely manner
  • to hold weekly staff meetings and undertake appraisals and on-going performance monitoring and management where necessary
  • to coach staff to monitor customer satisfaction while constantly improving the customer experience ensuring excellence in customer service at all times
  • to liaise with central services whilst ensuring effective communication at all levels ensuring that reporting deadlines are maintained and that the various departments are kept informed of any reportable/relevant issues at your Boatyard
