  • the role can be full time or part time
  • experience in dealing with financial settlements and private law child applications would be advantageous
  • wherever we have an office, we dedicate ourselves to the service of the local and surrounding community now and in the future
  • we are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Family Lawyer / CILEX, Paralegal with experience of family law NQ upwards to join our Family team based at our Telford office
  • excellent organisational, written and IT skills are essential
  • the successful candidate will be proficient with MS Office, experience using a case management system is ideal but not essential
  • you will be expected to run your own case load of family matters and should enjoy working to and achieving deadlines within a busy office environment

  • assisting fee earners with case load subject to close supervision, including legal research and drafting legal documents
  • supporting the team in managing a diverse caseload of employment law and HR matters
  • undertaking administrative tasks as required to support the smooth running of client matters and the department
  • handling telephone communication from clients
  • assisting in the overall efficient running of the team
  • attending departmental training sessions
  • increased responsibility as experience grows

Requirements

  • A strong interest in employment law and a commitment to pursuing a career as a solicitor
  • excellent communication and organisational skills
  • ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • must possess a Bachelor of Laws with a 2.2 or above
  • must live within a 20-mile radius of our Telford office
  • ideally able to drive with own car
