Working hours

Responsibility

  • this role can be worked in either our London or soon-to-be-opened Reading office
  • monitor and report upon project progress and budget usage
  • maintain accuracy and timeliness of project financial reporting/project cost accounting/revenue recognition reporting
  • monitor project activity against agreed upon scope to mitigate scope creep
  • actively manage project-related issues; and
  • identify and mitigate the highest likelihood of project risks – planning for contingencies, where appropriate
  • consistently and effectively plan, resource, execute, and otherwise manage cross-functional teams on projects that are high quality, profitable, and delivered on time
  • ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget by managing against project plans/schedules/timelines and defined budgets – all of which are subject to updates based upon tangible changes impacting the delivery of work

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or equivalent/relevant qualification
  • process oriented, strong attention to detail, with clear and proactive communication focus
  • great facilitation skills and able to build bridges between teams and people
  • outstanding multitasking skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • proven experience of managing project finances, timelines, and internal resourcing
  • must have a right to work in the UK

finance manager

Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • this role can be based in our London office or our soon-to-be opened Reading office
  • review projects to ensure correct set up of project classifications, budgets, and resource plans
  • manage job closure process to ensure all jobs are closed in a timely manner
  • assist account managers as needed on all client-related matters, project budgeting, and reporting
  • balance sheet and P&L management
  • support of month end close and management accounts reporting processes including analysis and commentary
  • assist in the annual budget process & monthly forecast updates
  • responsible for ensuring strong financial controls are in place and operating effectively, including robust balance sheet reconciliations

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified professional preferred
  • ability to thrive in a highly international, fast-paced, and hyper-growth work environment
  • experience developing and maintaining project budgets
  • extensive accounting, IFRS consolidation and reporting and working with an ERP system required. Experience using NetSuite and OpenAir preferred
  • proficiency in the use of modern financial software and tools, and how to combine them
  • must be a self-starter, able to work independently and with management based in the US
