Responsibility

  • conduct routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of waste, recycling, and forestry equipment
  • diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues, and perform necessary repairs
  • conduct thorough equipment inspections and provide recommendations for improvements
  • collaborate with team members to ensure all equipment is in safe and working condition
  • maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
  • assist in ordering and managing spare parts inventory
  • follow safety protocols and adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • as a Workshop Plant Fitter you will be an integral part of our team responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of waste, recycling, and forestry equipment

  • salary - £40-£45k per annum
  • perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of plant and machinery equipment
  • diagnose mechanical issues and carry out necessary repairs on-site
  • this role offers the flexibility of a mobile position while allowing you to be based as close as possible to Tring
  • conduct equipment inspections and provide clients with recommendations for improvements
  • ensure that all service and repair tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards

Requirements

  • proven experience as a Plant Engineer or a similar role
  • strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
  • excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to client locations
  • familiarity with a variety of plant and machinery equipment is preferred
  • relevant technical qualifications/certifications are a plus
  • mechanical engineering: 2 years
