as a technologist who has evolved from a strong background in hands on software development and associated practices / methodologies
knowledge of and demonstrable interest in trading, clearing, settlement and/or payment business processes and associated technologies and architectures
the role also requires understanding of technical specifics and constantly dealing with analytical work and moving between various business layers
knowledge of distributed systems & services, messaging, object orientation, database solutions, web application development, security and open source technologies
knowledge of design patterns and architectural concepts including micro services, low latency systems, data architecture, application programming interfaces, and cloud services
experience of resilient, fault tolerant and high availability solution design
experience and understanding of agile/lean development principles

Requirements
bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
experience creating and maintaining disaster recovery plans and procedures
knowledge of disaster recovery technologies and solutions, including backup and recovery systems, replication, and cloud-based disaster recovery
experience working with regulatory compliance requirements
certification in disaster recovery, such as Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer or Certified Business Continuity Professional , is preferred
5+ years of experience in IT disaster recovery management or a related field
