  • we are currently looking for an Assistant General Manager who will work with the General Manager to oversee the catering operation at Manchester Art Gallery
  • assist the General Manager with day to day operations and ensure delivery is of a high quality with an emphasis on standards and the visitor experience
  • quality: To provide a high standard of quality food and drink and deliver an excellent service for our customers
  • budget Control: Responsible for effective management of the Café / Catering budgets to maintain profit lines
  • menu Development: To update menu seasonally with a clear focus on sustainable dishes and develop bespoke menus for corporate events

Requirements

  • line management experience
  • strong financial acumen with understanding of margins, GP and labour cost percentages
  • comfortable in managing own workload
  • excellent communication skills
  • catering management: 3 years
  • bar management: 1 year
  • hospitality: 1 year
  • 3+ years in a similar role within either events or catering

Requirements
