Responsibility

  • store, feed, mix, blend, extrude, freeze and package food products as appropriate, ensuring high standards of good manufacturing practice
  • pack / metal detect, inspect, products and established standards of weight control
  • palletise, wrap and label finished goods as required
  • to complete to the established standard all relevant process / food safety documentation
  • to bring to the attention of your Team Leader any discrepancies in materials, operating machinery or final product

Responsibility

  • receive, label and store incoming goods in line with defined procedures
  • supplying production with required raw materials / communication with Decant on what is required daily
  • ensure that the Store is maintained in a tidy and hygienic condition
  • assist in regular stock checking activities
  • operate a variety of mechanical handling equipment in a safe manner and carry out daily checks as necessary

Requirements

  • strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams
  • experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques, preferably in food or related business
  • extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations
  • lean Practitioner – Green/Black belt desirable, but not essential
  • having an engineering background in a manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage

shift manager

Responsibility

  • supervise production activities to ensure smooth and timely workflow, aligned with established company procedures and quality standards
  • monitor and enforce health and safety regulations within the production environment, ensuring full compliance with safety codes
  • identify and report potential hazards on the production floor or warehouse, taking prompt corrective action where needed
  • instruct team members on the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices
  • respond to and report workplace accidents, conducting preliminary investigations and contributing to root cause analysis
  • supervising production work at the end of each shift to ensure its completion and quality

Requirements

  • FMCG experience preferred
  • previous experience working in a production/logistics environment, is an added advantage
  • ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • employ a flexible business partnering approach at all levels including senior management
  • demonstrate the ability to respond to emergencies that happen on the production floor
  • strong communication and listening skills - both in written and verbal formats
  • motivated self-starter with a positive and proactive attitude to all challenges
