- attend ongoing styling classes to improve personal styling skills
- experience cutting hair or other hair-related tasks is preferred but not required
- basic knowledge of styling tools and hair dryers
- familiarity with grooming products and trends
- attention to detail

- strong organizational skills
- high school diploma; successful completion of hairstyling training is preferred
- provide hair styling services to customers
- focus on customer service and provide excellent customer service
- cut, colour, and style hair according to customer's needs and preferences

- make the customer feel comfortable and relaxed when in the salon
