- ensure the department operates in accordance with the company policies, procedures and systems including ISO 9001, 140011 and 45001
- identify and build close working relationships with both existing and new customers, end users and specifiers
- manage day to day lab operations including undertaking calibrations and testing
- maintain accurate/complete customer records on the CRM system
- negotiate customer prices as necessary
- support customer technical enquires/complaints for the site
- identify and work with key decision makers, on projects of all sizes, to supply LKAB Binders
- provide leads to customers and maintain a record of leads generated
- define the specifications for external suppliers and procedures and controls for all incoming raw materials
- supervise direct report to ensure smooth operation day to day and compliance with BS EN 13454, BBA, FIAS, declaration of conformity and FPC, including laboratory testing where necessary
- monitor binder sales within the region and identify areas of improvement
- prepare specification sheets and explanatory documentation relevant to individual customers, e.g. Product Definitions, Certificates of Analysis, Certificates of Conformity
- provide/update market information and competitor activity
- work and develop strong relationships with all departments across the group and liaise with operational staff to ensure quality is maintained and costs are optimised
- any other duties relevant to the task
- support the marketing manager with production of literature, case studies, advertisements, social media and other marketing activities as required
- to monitor and report on safety and quality system procedures and to produce statistical data on performance against the set quality standards
- attend and provide input at sales meetings
- carry out other reasonable and appropriate duties as directed
- attend various trade events as directed
- carry out presentations to customers and architects as and when required
Requirements
- A degree or higher national diploma is preferred but not essential if the candidate has relevant job experience
- experience of the Binder Sales process
