Responsibility

  • working alongside the Chef/Assistant Chef and Dinner Supervisor team on a daily basis
  • checking dietary requirements every meal
  • an understanding of dietary needs, whether preference, medical or religious
  • keeping all meal time equipment and appliances in a clean and organised manner
  • supporting the children and staff in the serving of food
  • interacting with children at meal times, encouraging positive eating habits and table manners
  • adhering to our Health and Safety policy as well as all other policies and procedures
  • general cleaning duties including hoovering and mopping

Requirements

  • experience of working in a school or nursery with children that have dietary requirements
  • provide excellent standards in all aspects of food service and cleanliness; attention to detail is vital
  • good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • be an innovative person with a positive, out going disposition and a 'can-do' approach
  • desirable but not essential: a level 3 or 2 in Early Years Education
