- lightfoots LLP Solicitors are looking for a Paralegal to join their Lender Finance / Bridging team
- open and maintain electronic case files, keeping organised by actioning workflow entries and processing client instructions
- prepare introductory letters to client with relevant initial enclosures and assist in client engagement

- lightfoots LLP Solicitors are looking for a Conveyancing Paralegal to join their Commercial Property Team in Thame - You will be responsible for providing support to the Fee Earners in the team with their caseload
- create and maintain case files
- taking initial instructions from clients in order to produce quotes
- developing good client relationships
- preparing all relevant correspondence on behalf of fee earners
- the ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organisation of documents and information from various cases within the lender team and generally assist the fee earner with their files and case management on a day-to-day basis
- prepare invoices and ensure all fees are accounted for
- conduct legal research
- assisting with billing / invoicing clients
- opening new files using our Case Management System
- registering applications on Companies House
- supporting Fee Earner with the day-to-day management of files
- open new files, close files, general file keeping and file progression
- administration tasks as required to support fee earner
- dealing with enquiries from Companies House and Land Registry, as necessary
- drafting Contracts and preparing and sending Contract Packs
- issuing security documentation
- handling completion monies
- taking files following exchange of contracts to carry out the necessary pre-completion checks, exchange letters etc
- preparing invoices and ensuring all fees are accounted for prior to completion
- reporting on title upon completion
- closing files and dealing with any account balances
- dealing with post-completion work, such as redemptions, consent to lease, s106 approval and so forth; and
- preparing files so they are ready for the fee earners to work on, such as chasing clients for documentation, ensuring ID checks are undertaken and funds are placed on account
- assisting with general calls and visitors to the office when required
- generally assisting fee earners with their files
- diary management on behalf of fee earners, schedule client meetings and liaise with clients on behalf of fee earners and deal with client queries as necessary
- assist fee earners in preparing invoices and ensure all fees are accounted for
- supporting Fee Earners with the day-to-day management of files
- supporting Fee Earners with the day to day running of files
Requirements
- past experience as a legal assistant or paralegal is a plus but not necessary
- minimum of 2 years' experience in similar role working as a Paralegal in Commercial Property
- preferable at least 1 years’ experience in an administrative role
