Responsibility

  • work alongside the Executive Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking
  • ensure that all kitchen staff members are properly trained on food safety, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment operation
  • monitor inventory levels and ensure that all necessary ingredients and supplies are in stock
  • follow the menus items that are in line with the executive head Chef culinary philosophy and standards
  • manage and supervise kitchen assistants
  • ensure that all food is prepared in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining high quality standards
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety regulations
  • participate in menu planning and recipe development with the Executive Head Chef

Requirements

  • culinary degree or equivalent experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • proven experience as a sous chef or senior Chef de Partie
  • in-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment operation
  • strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff members
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
