Responsibility

  • actively engaging with clients and providing opportunities to do so including preparation of supper and breakfast
  • contributing to delivery of the sentence plan in conjunction with colleagues in probation, the police and other external agencies
  • working through the night as part of a team always providing support and enforcement of Approved Premises rules when necessary to clients residing at the Independent Approved Premises
  • monitor and encourage compliance, door duties, guide, advise and supervise Clients, whilst ensuring that public protection is at the very core of all work carried out
  • modelling pro-social behaviour and attitudes, helping to create and maintain a positive culture of respect in all work with both clients and colleagues

care & support worker

Responsibility

  • key work and support clients generally within your service
  • perform individual personal care tasks, including washing, showering and toileting, medication administration and promoting independence
  • de-escalate and manage stressful situations in a calm manner
  • write care plans and ensure these are followed and handed over to all staff, take an active part in hand over and report any concerns to the Management Team
  • regularly fully utilise the Trust ‘Client File’ with designated clients to ensure that they are supported and empowered to achieve appropriate outcomes
  • provide support and guidance to other Support Workers to assist them in the safe delivery of the service and to support client engagement
