- supervise and coordinate the activities of plant operators and technicians, ensuring efficient and smooth production operations
- plan and organise production schedules to meet customer demands while optimising resource utilisation and minimising downtime
- monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- implement and maintain safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees
- train and develop team members, providing guidance, feedback, and performance evaluations
- collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to address equipment issues and implement preventive maintenance schedules
- identify process inefficiencies and implement improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness
- maintain accurate production records and reports, analysing data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Requirements
- proven experience as a Production Supervisor within the plant recycling, waste management, or related industries
- in-depth knowledge of plant operations and recycling processes, including sorting, shredding, and material separation
- strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire a diverse team of operators and technicians
- excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure
- understanding of quality management systems and experience in ensuring adherence to quality standards
- familiarity with health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
