  • to manage the daily operation, reporting and running of the Shortbread/Gingerbread House, staff and trainees
  • to provide a positive contribution to all aspects of the Independent Living Scheme
  • to oversee the line management and supervision of the staff at the Shortbread House/Gingerbread House in line with the performance of their duties and responsibilities and to ensure regulated activity is provided within CQC regulations
  • the role requires the post holder to provide varying degrees of support, assistance, training and contribute to the effective and safe delivery of high-quality professional services and facilities
  • contribute to statistical information, monitoring and records as required
  • to oversee the upkeep of the property

Requirements

  • to carry out thorough monthly audits
  • ensure all staff have received monthly supervision
  • ensure service users have received their key worker interview and it is in place
  • remind to staff to send the monthly progress reports & house reports to head office
  • experience in managing and developing a staff team
  • hold a current driving licence
  • be qualified or willing to complete the Level 5 diploma in Health and Social Care
  • A good understanding of risk management and health and safety management

  • to be familiar with the Care Act 2014 Safeguarding policy and procedures
  • to ensure all compliance issues are identified and met within agreed timescales
  • to take appropriate action in line with the policies of KASBAH
  • to declare any existing or subsequent convictions. Failure to do so will be regarded as gross misconduct, possible resulting in dismissal
  • to ensure the staff approach is fun, person centred and in line with our newly adopted Positive Behaviour Support approach

  • princess Christian’s Farm is a life skills training facility supporting people with a learning and/or physical disability, the aim is for individuals to learn new skills both on the farm and in all aspects of daily living
  • the Farm Lead is employed under a charity called KASBAH to support the management of the farm and maintain high standards of animal welfare
  • budgeting, planning and stock ordering
