Responsibility
report into the Engineering Manager daily
80% maintenance and machine setting tasks and 20% project site improvement tasks
recording all work completed, both maintenance, breakdown and electrical improvement activities
responsible for implementing process and equipment and health and safety improvements and identifying weaknesses for ongoing improvement
completing PPM systems across both sites
assisting with setting the finished-product production lines
assist with ensuring the equipment is running safely and efficiently
some previous mechanical engineering experience essential
Requirements
must hold a formally recognised electrical qualification, preferably BTEC level 3
must hold current BS7671 regulations certificate
experience / skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
preferable experience in packaging and filling line experience
experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
electrical Engineering: 5 years

previous experience as a machine setter or similar role
fork Lift Truck license
an eye for detail and good communication skills
keen problem solver and well versed in setting up machines in a manufacturing environment
diligent – be a completer/ finisher & task orientated
keen eye for manufacturing excellence
machine setting: 2 years
hardworking ethic / self-starter, good physical fitness
Responsibility
ensure ongoing adherence to the cleaning schedules and safety standards
performing basic maintenance tasks as requested and agreed with engineering
management of QC, production and engineering record
ensure all products are manufactured in accordance to the production schedule on a daily and weekly basis
mechanical maintenance engineer
Requirements
deal efficiently with crisis maintenance
respond immediately to urgent equipment breakdowns, including adhoc call-outs if required
fix faults on site or arranging for replacement machinery or equipment to be installed
keep production operatives and managers on progress of delays are lengthened
mechanical engineering
deal directly with any maintenance issues highlighted in the previous days production report
fitter/ Welder
discuss with the management team any proposed planned maintenance, and preparing any pipe-work etc ready for speedy maintenance
Responsibility
you will assist the Bedforth Factory
ordering spare parts as required, and to keep a stock of vital spares, ensuring that nothing is ordered without an agreed PO
ensuring that all new parts and machine changes are closely monitored and controlled and that you have signed off the equipment as ‘fit for purpose’ before ‘handing it over’ to the Operatives Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate
