JIM WISE DEMOLITION is looking for employees for positions:
- answering telephones and assisting with inbound calls, dealing with enquiries from staff, customers and suppliers
- maintaining electronic employee records, hard-copy filing
- performing other administrative duties as required
- supervise and coordinate demolition activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications
- lead a team of demolition workers, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle
- conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions as necessary
- collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of projects
- maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs and incident reports
- operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, including but not limited to welding equipment, masonry tools, and carpentry tools
- train team members on proper techniques for demolition, including the use of electrical systems and plumbing considerations
- ensure proper disposal of materials in accordance with environmental regulations
- proven experience in a supervisory role within the demolition or construction industry
- strong knowledge of demolition techniques and safety practices
- proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other relevant machinery
- experience in carpentry, masonry, roofing, painting, and fabrication is highly desirable
- excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is an advantage
- valid health and safety certifications are preferred
