Responsibility

  • adhere to company safety standards to ensure a secure working environment
  • read and understand product drawings and assembly instructions to accurately manufacture steel fence components
  • operate tools and machinery including metalworking machinery such as cold saws, grinders, punch machines, and pillar drills, following instructions and guidelines
  • maintain excellent housekeeping throughout the factory by regularly cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas
  • verify dimensions and product specifications to ensure accuracy and quality
  • ensure all required parts for welding are present and in proper condition
  • mark cutting lines on materials and use jigs for precise fabrication
  • ensure adherence to quality control standards and report any non-conformities

Requirements

  • fabrication
  • ability to lift steel components and work while standing for extended periods of time
  • mechanical technical proficiency in metalworking processes
  • strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations
  • ability to read and learn engineering drawings
  • familiarity with using measuring equipment such as tapes and verniers

  • monitor all welding processes and ensure absence of any shrinkage and distortion to materials
  • any other reasonable duties

Requirements

  • this role will include lifting of steel components as well as standing for long periods of time whilst manual MIG welding
