Responsibility

  • support managers by providing advice and practical guidance to help achieve effective resolutions in employee relations issues
  • maintain HR policies and procedures across the organisation, ensuring these are compliant with any changes in law
  • recruitment and staffing. Managing the employees’ journey from assessment to selection, induction, and exit
  • processing of payroll
  • managing the employee records to make sure they are up to date and relevant data is on file for audits
  • reporting, and presenting, on people metrics to members of the board
  • taking the lead on learning and development across the group. Identifying training needs and skills needs that can help with workforce planning

Requirements

  • level 3/5 CIPD qualified or willingness to work towards this
  • track record of training and development planning
  • experience in the implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • oral and written skills
  • skills and credibility to coach managers
  • knowledge of current employment laws
  • prior involvement in handling disciplinaries and grievances
  • professionally driven with a desire to learn
