the Role
ensuring a safe environment by conducting all servicing and maintenance activities with minimal risk to employees, products and equipment. Champion safety
using route cause analysis on breakdowns to identify actions and drive completion of actions to prevent re-occurrence
support the energy reduction and sustainability agenda to reduce environmental impacts across the site by ensuring all actions are completed
we are looking for an experienced Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team, this role will be based in our Thirsk manufacturing plant
participate in daily and weekly review sessions to drive the improvement throughout the site
perform planned and predictive maintenance of equipment and complete ad hoc repairs in a timely manner and by prioritising works in line with site priorities to ensure that efficient production is maintained
assessing the need for spares by ensuring that the critical spares and spares list is up to date and stock is at the required levels Escalate any issues in a timely manner to the Engineering manager

Requirements

previous experience in same or similar role with an electrical bias and 18th Edition
qualified or time served in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
experienced in the use and operation of CMMS
reliability Management expertise
NEBOSH with a sound knowledge of behavioural safety at a site level - desirable
legionella and HACCP awareness - desirable
