  • semi senior accountant

Responsibility

  • day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of SME businesses and their owners
  • prepare financial statements, including monthly, quarterly and annual accounts
  • arrange financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting
  • maintain accounting records and prepare accounts and management information
  • oversee the ongoing maintenance of accounts
  • liaise with clients and provide financial information and advice
  • reconcile accounts including receivable and payable
  • manage budgets

Requirements

  • strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
  • proficiency in accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or other relevant software
  • excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting
  • ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines
  • strong communication skills for presenting financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • experience in mentoring or training junior staff is an advantage
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement
  • accounting: 3 years
