Responsibility
responsible for collating Competitor Intelligence and synthesising into high quality insights to support Imperial’s short-medium term consumer strategy
serve as the reference point for Competitor Intelligence within the Insights function, ensuring that pertinent information is embedded into portfolio, brand and marketing decisions by aligning with other Insights colleagues from the central and region / cluster / market teams
responsible for creating and, if necessary, updating, a modelling framework which enables the efficient collation of Competitor Intelligence, ensuring that important insight products can be effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders within the Insights function, as well as other business areas
create and update a framework to replicate competitors’ P&L statement, considering both combustibles and Next Generation Product portfolios, utilising estimated profit pools to assist in decision-making
provide competitor insights into wargaming workshops to assist with brand, marketing and portfolio decision-making, carrying out the correct analysis depending on market situations and then ensuring that the resulting insights are applied effectively by stakeholders
regularly reappraise the insight standards for Competitor Intelligence, reviewing external best practice and proactively obtaining feedback from stakeholders about their needs and e.g., how methods could be developed
this role will be fundamental in setting up the business for success through the careful monitoring of competitor activities, analysing and communicating potential opportunities and risks
support the Head of Competitor Insight to create and evolve best-practice insight frameworks for Competitor Intelligence and set up centres of excellence to ensure insight best practices are identified, codified, documented & applied to insights
