fabricator welder
Responsibility
- the role involves daily, working at height activities
- successful candidates must be willing to participate in the Call-Out Rota
- following all relevant rules and procedures
- ensuring they’re availability for pre-shift task brief and deployment
- attending planning meetings/Safety briefs delivered by Shaft & Winder Foreman
- planning, risk assessing and executing workload as necessary
- to work as part of the Shaft and Winder maintenance team to ensure all machinery and equipment performs in a safe and effective manner through the diligent execution of maintenance inspections and remedial work derived from such inspections or as operational requirements dictate
- carrying out on site risk assesments and implementing method statements where required
Requirements
- understanding of process and distribution engineering
- familiarity with current welding and fabrication techniques would be advantageous
- numeracy
- literacy
- time-served tradesman with experience in the welding and fabrication of heavy equipment ideally gained in a processing plant, mine or similar heavy industrial environment
