Requirements
- relevant previous CNC Operator/Setter experience
- previous experience as a CNC operator setter with experience on Mori Seiki machines with FANUC controller
- good communication skills
- HNC in Engineering or equivalent
- good organisational skills
- time served CNC Operator
- able to act on own initiative
- flexible & Adaptable
Responsibility
- all equipment should be handled/stored in a safe manner and in such a way that no damage occurs
- check that material type, cast number and kit issue document is correct for the job being carried out
- log all relevant information on the Shop Floor Data Capture system – set up and run times, start/stop times, quantities, stop codes, downtime etc
- work area should be kept clean and tidy at all times and all spillages should be dealt with at the earliest opportunity
- make any program amendments/edits to achieve the appropriate efficiency, quality and dimensional accuracy. Any modifications to the program or changes to the tooling sheet must be recorded
- conform to all safety rules and regulations at all times
