Responsibility
- instrument Technician, Duxford
- huntsman has a rare opportunity for an experienced Instrument Technician in our site in Duxford, Cambridge
- maintenance/fault finding/repairs/installation of the production/services equipment, also calibration/testing and recording of site safety systems
- this is a day shift position, Monday
- to ensure safe and reliable operation and minimize plant down time and costs ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements
- friday, 37.5 hours per week
- undertake ATEX inspections and installations to maintain the specialized safety aspects such as flameproof and intrinsically safe systems
- as part of the Engineering and Maintenance Team, you will calibrate and maintain the site process and service instrumentation, ensuring equipment availability and compliance with Process Safety Management, Regulatory and Health & Safety requirements
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in a suitable Engineering discipline
- high focus on data and metrics
- understanding of regulatory and statutory Engineering
- great team working and problem-solving skills
- A positive communicator with a ‘can do’ attitude and continuous improvement focused mentality
- the ability to work quickly and safely under pressure
- work experience in an engineering function, ideally in the Chemical Sector, if not pharma, biochemical or equivalent. Knowledge of Engineering systems
