  • to possess a current Royal Life Saving Society National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, or be capable of obtaining this qualification. E

Responsibility

  • to provide qualified pool supervision in accordance with current legislation
  • cleaning of all activity areas and general building structure
  • to erect and dismantle equipment that may be used for a wide variety of recreational activities
  • to attend training identified as necessary to undertake current and future job requirements
  • adopt a high standard of customer care at all times. If a customer requires assistance, even if this does not directly relate to your job, make every effort to help or find someone who can
  • help to keep the facilities well maintained by picking up litter when you are in public areas and by reporting any faulty equipment or any areas requiring cleaning
  • help to conserve energy by ensuring that the doors are closed and lights are switched off in rooms not in use
  • post holders will be required to work at other facilities within Leisure and Recreation Services according to the needs of the service

Requirements

  • 1.To possess or be capable of obtaining a current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
  • swim Test
  • satisfy Burnley College requirements for acceptance on the apprentice course
  • sport GSCE or equivalent or studying towards
  • evidence of participation in team activities
  • the successful applicant will have the ability to pass the following tests
  • A good school/college/work record in terms of attendance, time keeping and conducT
  • evidence of previous learning or participation in sporting/leisure activities

Responsibility

  • to support the Lead Chef in designing and developing fresh food menus and arrange regular menu tastings
