Responsibility

  • ensuring high standards of maintenance to the interior and exterior of the Nursing Home
  • carrying out general maintenance and repairs including decoration. To include minor electrical, plumbing duties
  • organise and liaise with outside contractors for any maintenance works or repairs
  • keep all areas clean and tidy
  • fire Safety Inspections and testing
  • asbestos Inspections
  • REPORTING TO: Home Manager
  • legionella Inspections

Requirements

  • general maintenance knowledge / experience e.g. minor electrical, plumbing, joinery work etc
  • understanding of central heating systems, laundry and kitchen equipment, hot & cold-water systems etc
  • decoration skills
  • knowledge of current Health & Safety regulations
  • ability to problem solve and provide workable speedy solutions to maintenance issues
  • D1 Minibus driving licence and current PSV CPC
  • good communication skills
  • personable and presentable
