- A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Sunflower Home Care Co-ordinator
- the Care at Home Co-ordinator supports people from all walks of life
- hours: 15 hours per week, part-time & flexible
- holiday: 28 days including public holidays
- areas covered: 3 Glens: Fort Augustus, Glenmoriston and Glengarry
- sponsorship: Not applicable for this vacancy
- being a Home Care Co-ordinator doesn’t just mean helping service users to remain as active and independent as possible while respecting their rights of choice, privacy and dignity
- it also means working as part of a team to identify the person’s unique goals and develop personalised care plans and supporting our staff to deliver the best possible care
Requirements
- experience of caring/support work for others is essential
- having a caring nature and strong belief in teamwork are very important
- SVQ 3 Health and Social Care or equivalent – or willingness to work towards this
- PDA in Supervision or equivalent – or willingness to work towards this
- experience of managing small teams
- compassionate and caring
- you need to be comfortable talking to, and working with, people from different back grounds and professions, you’re great at keeping records, too
- dedicated and passionate about making a real difference to people’s lives
