HEWITSON PLANT HIRE is looking for employees for positions:
- manage all aspects of the parts department, including stock control, purchasing, and supplier management
- source and order parts for construction plant, vehicles and equipment as required
- maintain accurate inventory records and implement stock rotation systems
- build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure best pricing and service levels
- support workshop and maintenance teams with parts identification and availability
- monitor usage trends and forecast demand
- ensure parts storage areas are well-organised and comply with health and safety requirements
- manage parts returns, warranties, and credits
- proven experience in a similar role , ideally within the plant hire/transport industry
- strong knowledge of plant machinery parts
- excellent organisational and communication skills
- ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and manage budgets
- A hands-on approach and ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
