Responsibility
- assisting in designing and delivering water and wastewater schemes from feasibility to detailed design, contract document preparation, and construction administration
- preparing technical gas designs and quotations in accordance with codes of practice, legislation, and current policies and procedures
- ensuring comprehensive understanding of project deliverables and contractual requirements
- ensuring work is accurate to achieve projected profit margins and maintaining records to satisfy customers and legal requirements
- reporting to and communicating effectively with the Project Manager
- keeping personal competence records up to date
- supporting project delivery within budget and schedule requirements
- preparing reports, providing support, and guiding operational teams, management, and customers on designs, quotations, sales, safety, and technical matters
Requirements
- minimum 5 years of relevant experience in water main network designing
- proven experience as a Gas Designer, preferably with specialisation in low/medium pressure
- ability to work independently and be the go-to person for water-related matters
- A solid understanding of industry codes of practice, legislation, and policies
- dynamic and adaptable to work with a growing team in a new venture
- strong communication and liaison skills
- experience with Housing, INC, Small/Big plots
- ability to guide and support a small administrative team
