Responsibility
- ensure residents' rooms are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, performing regular deep cleaning tasks as required
- maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of common areas, including lounges, dining areas, and hallways
- interact with residents in a courteous and respectful manner accommodating any specific requests or preferences
- comply with all care home policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety, confidentiality, and resident rights
- use digital systems such as care planning systems to document after completing each cleaning task, and e-learning to complete mandatory training
- whilst allocated to work in laundry, collect, wash, and return residents’ laundry promptly and with care, ensuring washed items adhere to instructions on the garments
- take reasonable care of your own health and safety, and that of other persons who may be affected by your actions and carry out your responsibilities in ways that ensure a safe and healthy place of work, reporting any maintenance concerns via the Care Management System
- carry out a checks of possible safety hazards when cleaning residents’ rooms and report any possible hazards to the Resident Services/Housekeeping Manager and person in charge
