Responsibility
the Mechanical Estimator role involves managing and responding to tender enquiries, reviewing enquiries and preparing take-offs from drawings, liaising with suppliers to obtain quotations, and working closely with other estimators to prepare tenders to deadlines and occasionally cost budgets
you will work with the wider GW team to provide an excellent service and prepare quotations for small day-to-day works and large projects
you will attend site visits/surveys/meetings to ensure a compliant bid, be customer-focused, positive, and professional, and be organized and consistent in the preparation of tender quotations and files
you will need to prioritise and plan your workload, especially when working to tight deadlines, and work closely with the managing director
Requirements
the ideal candidate must have previous work experience in Commercial Mechanical Building Services, be computer literate, preferably hold a Full UK Driving License, be polite, smart, and presentable, and have a can-do, positive, and ambitious personality
