  • lead the home's day-to-day running alongside the Registered Manager
  • manage the home in the manager's absence when required
  • undertake on-call duties when rostered to do so
  • lead a team of Residential Children's Support Workers, including undertaking supervisions and being a role model
  • ensure that the highest standard of care is provided to the young people in our home
  • ensure that all Ofsted regulations and company policies and procedures are adhered to
  • act as a key worker for one or more young people, ensuring that their individual needs are met
  • support young people with their daily routines, education, and emotional needs

Requirements

  • experience as a Team Leader/Management within residential childcare and relevant qualifications around residential care and childcare
  • strong experience in team leading and supervising staff
  • strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Quality Standards, and Children’s Act
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work well under pressure and show resilience
  • flexible approach to work and shift patterns, including undertaking sleep-ins
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
