GUIDANCE CARE is looking for employees for positions:
residential home manager
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- lead the home's day-to-day running alongside the Registered Manager
- manage the home in the manager's absence when required
- undertake on-call duties when rostered to do so
- lead a team of Residential Children's Support Workers, including undertaking supervisions and being a role model
- ensure that the highest standard of care is provided to the young people in our home
- ensure that all Ofsted regulations and company policies and procedures are adhered to
- act as a key worker for one or more young people, ensuring that their individual needs are met
- support young people with their daily routines, education, and emotional needs
Requirements
- experience as a Team Leader/Management within residential childcare and relevant qualifications around residential care and childcare
- strong experience in team leading and supervising staff
- strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Quality Standards, and Children’s Act
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work well under pressure and show resilience
- flexible approach to work and shift patterns, including undertaking sleep-ins
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving
