  • unloading of deliveries and loading of external bound loads
  • safe internal transfer and storage of materials on site
  • preparation of outbound TFS loads

  • ensuring full compliance with all current regulations concerning the transportation of hazardous waste materials
  • delivery / Collection of waste materials to/from various locations around the UK
  • greenway pride themselves in offering industry-leading response times for their services and turning waste into energy, through innovative and sustainable solutions
  • GRG Waste UK is a waste to resource management company, the parent company Guernsey Recycling Group is headquartered in Guernsey in the Channel Islands
  • some manual work will be required and occasional yard work
  • we currently have a vacancy for a HGV Class 1 driver at Greenway Environmental’s Bootle site

Requirements

Responsibility

  • training and support will be provided wherever necessary
  • other duties on site as necessary
  • minimum of a Batchelors degree in Chemistry or related subject
  • this position will require you to work closely with the Senior Site Chemist and Site Supervisors to control the day-to-day operational aspects of The site
  • this is a hands-on role and will involve preparation of inspection of incoming waste loads, some preparation of outgoing waste loads, identification of accurate and correct disposal routes for all waste streams, raising non-conformance reports, bulking and some laboratory work
  • laboratory testing of waste samples
